At Iron Fist MMA Academy, we believe training is about more than just fighting—it’s about building people.

Our academy is a space where beginners take their first steps with confidence, and experienced fighters sharpen their craft in a structured, supportive environment.
Whether your goal is fitness, self-defense, or competition, our programs in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Kickboxing, and MMA are designed to meet you where you are and grow with you every step of the way.

We strip away the macho nonsense and focus on what matters: clean technique, safety, and real progress. Through intimate classes, hands-on coaching, and a community that thrives on mutual respect, we help you push limits without losing balance.

Iron Fist isn’t just a gym—it’s a tribe that celebrates effort, discipline, and the quiet confidence that comes from knowing you’ve done the work.

About us

Two Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors grappling on the mat during a match, with spectators watching in the background.

Stepping onto the mat for the first time is rarely about technique—it’s about courage. Coach Marnu Basson understands this better than most.

His achievements in competition and years of experience are there, but they sit quietly in the background. What matters most to him is the student standing in front of him, often unsure if they belong, often carrying the quiet fear of not being “fit enough,” “tough enough,” or “young enough.”

His coaching philosophy is built around one simple truth: strength is something you build, not something you have to start with. Through calm guidance and structured progression, he helps students turn fear into focus. In his classes, there’s no judgment, no ego—only a clear path forward.

Marnu’s own journey wasn’t free of doubt, and that’s why he knows exactly how to guide others through theirs. He’s earned his place on competition podiums and trained alongside some of the best, but his greatest pride isn’t in medals—it’s in seeing a student who once wanted to quit light up after their first breakthrough.

Whether you aim to compete or simply reclaim confidence in your own body, he creates an environment where every small victory counts. Under his watch, the mat becomes a safe place to challenge yourself, to fail without shame, and to discover that you are far more capable than you ever imagined.
